Did you know that most banners (think sponsor banners) we use are made from PVC? PVC, or Polyvinyl chloride, is referred to by many as the "poison plastic". It is energy intensive to produce, contains toxic compounds that can easily leak out and is generally not recyclable.
Thankfully, there are new, more eco-friendly options out on the market that made from safe polymers and textiles and also from recyclable materials.
The simple decision to switch banners and ask sponsors to do the same makes a huge difference to your impact and there is generally no change in cost or event experience.
